Ok, so I just took a quick trip that was 100% not related to my DIY blog… but, I figured it would be worth mentioning because we had quite a time. It was my friend’s bachelor party, and I’m sure it comes as a huge surprise that we decided to go to Las Vegas. We stayed at the Hard Rock café, drank at the Palms and for the most part, slept during daylight hours. What else can you do for a guy that is about to get married? There were a few places I would recommend checking out. First, the bar at the top of the Palms hotel, ghost bar, must have one of the best views in Vegas. Just don’t get too close to the edge! It sounds cheesy, but we did check out Madame Tussauds, which is certainly touristy, but worth a visit nonetheless because those models look so damn real. I like smith and wollenskis for steak, the Bellagio for the killer buffet, and the new Mexican place (I’m forgetting the name) attached to the Venetian is great as well. The other thing I loved about the trip was that I flew Virgin America. It may be the best combination of value and service. You can order your gin and tonic by touching the computer screen… and, that’s in coach!
