The face of the matter is that just about everything we do uses some kind of natural resource and increases our carbon foot print. Using cell phones are no exception. There is quite a bit that goes into manufacturing cell phones and it takes natural resources to manufacture them. The circuit boards of the cell phones give them life and are very intricate technological pieces. To manufacture circuit boards, some of the raw materials that must be mined are: gold, copper, lead, nickel, zinc, tantalum, coltan, and beryllium.
